RADIUS – Pemberton, BC is a multi-family residence designed to be the very best rental apartments available! Design features such as roof top solar, rainwater collection, green roofs, community gardens, energy efficient heating/cooling systems and long term durable low-maintenance materials, Radius will make sustainable living easy.
Radius will produce as much energy as it consumes on an annual basis. The key to making this work is to build a very energy efficient building. Radius will be one of the most energy efficient buildings in Canada. “The Swegon Gold ERV allowed us to have multiple systems in one machine with integrated controls. The seamless integration of the Heat Pump to provide both heating and cooling into the ventilation air of the ERV solved the high cost problems usually associated with building a Passive House quality building.

HVAC Systems is proud to be part of this project which was designed to achieve Passive House Standards. A key part of HVAC System’s design was the use of Passive House Certified ERV (Sensible and Latent Recovery) Units – Swegon GOLD Series with Integrated VRF Heating/Cooling. Our units have the following ratings – air leakage A, Thermal transmittance T3, and Air tightness class L2. With the integration of VRF and our efficient heat recovery, we were able to reduce the cooling load by 33% from the original design intent.
